Production
Guidelines for submitting artwork:
To
ensure that your job is produced as cost-effective, trouble-free and
efficient as possible, please try to follow these guidlines to the best
of your capabilities. NOTE:
If using other software than what you see suggested in our guidelines,
or if you are unsure how to prepare a file, please contact
us for alternative preparation guidelines.
If
submitting work produced in
Adobe Illustrator:
- Convert
all text to outlines, if not, please include the fonts used
- PLEASE: EMBED ALL IMAGES!!!
- PLEASE:
DO NOT EMBED OR PLACE LAYERED PSD's! This is NOT proper procedure
for working in Illustrator. Please flatten all artwork before embedding
and placing into your Illustrator document as JPEG, TIFF or EPS files.
Not following this procedure results in much larger file sizes than
necessary and will also result in extended labor time!
- If
you are submitting large patterns, or artwork with complicated masks,
please be sure to rasterize these objects before saving (do not rasterize
below 150 dpi). This also will result in much smaller file sizes and
take much less time transporting.
- Size your art to the dimensions you want them printed
- If
you are requesting our Stellar Cads(TM) and
wish for them to be trimmed to the artwork, please include a bold
5pt stroke
around the outer perimeter only. This will eliminate a white border
around your cads
If
submitting work produced in Adobe Photoshop:
- Please
be sure that all artwork is properly sized (proper image size as well
as dpi/resoltuion)
- Color
modes / file formats: If in RGB save as a JPEG with the
Quality setting at 12
- Naming
Images for print & web: no spaces (use underscores), no characters,
all lowercase,
use the 3-letter file extension suffix (eg: filename.tif or filename.eps).
If
submitting a PDF:
- Make
sure your PDF is created in high resolution
- If
unsure how to create a PDF, contact
for PDF settings.
